What is an MSP (Managed Service Provider)?

An MSP is a company that specializes in outsourced management of IT infrastructure. It continuously handles the maintenance, monitoring and security of your servers, networks and systems for a predictable monthly fee.

How much does managed server hosting cost?

At RDEM Systems, we offer two managed services plans: 70 EUR/month (excl. VAT) for business hours coverage (7am-10pm, 7 days/week) without included intervention time, or 150 EUR/month (excl. VAT) for 24x7 coverage including 1 hour of monthly intervention. Both plans include operational maintenance and monitoring. Volume discounts apply from 5 servers onward. We also offer prepaid hour packs with discounts up to -25%.

Is it more cost-effective to hire a sysadmin or to outsource?

For 1 to 10 servers, outsourcing is significantly more economical. A senior sysadmin costs approximately 7,900 EUR/month (fully loaded), while managed services for 10 servers amount to 900 EUR/month (with volume discounts). The breakeven point for hiring in-house is typically beyond 30 servers.

What is the difference between a 1-hour and 4-hour response time SLA?

The response time SLA is the maximum time within which we commit to begin working on an incident. A 1-hour SLA is suited for critical infrastructure (e-commerce, SaaS) where every minute counts. A 4-hour SLA is appropriate for less sensitive environments where a longer reaction time is acceptable.

Do you serve clients across Europe?

Yes. Based near Paris, France, we manage infrastructure for clients across Europe. 95% of our interventions are performed remotely using our monitoring and administration tools. For on-site interventions, we travel or engage a local partner as needed.

How does onboarding work?

We start with a free audit of your infrastructure to understand your environment and needs. Then we deploy our monitoring tools, document your systems and define intervention procedures. Onboarding typically takes 1 to 2 weeks depending on complexity.
